The 77th Festival della Canzone Italiana runs from Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 February 2027 at the Teatro Ariston, hosted and artistically directed by Stefano De Martino. Rai announced the dates on 6 June 2026. The Festival thus returns to its February week, after the 2026 edition was moved to 24-28 February. For those five days the town fills up: if you want to be there, book your accommodation early and plan tickets and transport with the official information.

Tickets: official channels only

The municipality of Sanremo has announced that preliminary registration to buy tickets opens from mid-December 2026. Details will be published on the official channels of Rai and the Sanremo Festival.

The town and Rai have already reported to the authorities some ticket offers on unauthorised websites, ads and links, and ask the public to steer clear of them. The rule is simple: no payments and no personal data outside the official channels. If you don't get a seat in the theatre, you can still enjoy the Festival in town, with the red carpet, side events and street performances.

Festival car parks and shuttles

For the 2026 Festival the town, with Amaie Energia e Servizi, set up a special parking plan. The 2027 plan will be published on the same town page; meanwhile, here is how it worked this year.

  • Dedicated parking areas:
  • P02, Lungomare Vittorio Emanuele II;
  • P03, Lungomare Salvo D'Acquisto;
  • P06, at the Darsena in Arma di Taggia.
  • Flat rate: €20 a day per car. It includes the space and a free shuttle for all passengers. When you park you get a wristband, valid for the whole day, to show on the shuttle.
  • Times: car parks open at 10 am, shuttles run from 10 am to 2 am. At 2 am both the shuttles and access to the car parks stop: a car left after that time can be collected from 10 am the next day.
  • Booking: spaces are first come, first served, with no booking.
  • Campervans: parking is banned for campervans in several parts of town. P06 in Arma di Taggia is reserved for them, at €1.70 an hour, with shuttles to the centre.

A town web app, Parking Festival, shows car parks P01 to P06 and the shuttle stops on a map, and guides you to the chosen car park with the navigator.

The cycle path during the Festival

In 2026 the cycle path stayed open throughout in its central section, between the old station and Sud Est. From 4 pm to 2 am the two outer sections were closed for safety: to the east from Sud Est to P06, and to the west from the old station to Pian di Poma (P01). If you ride the Riviera dei Fiori cycle path, plan to do it in the daytime.

Around the Ariston the town sets up a red zone and a yellow zone, with their own rules for access and activities. The map is on the town's "Festival" page.

Arriving by train

With parking closing at 2 am and traffic controls in the centre, the train is the easiest way to get there. Sanremo station is on the Genoa–Ventimiglia line, served by regional trains from all along the Riviera. Times, station parking and alternatives are in our guide on getting to Sanremo and parking.

Info points and contacts

The town has two IAT tourist offices: - at the Palafiori, in corso Garibaldi; - in via Matteotti, at the Cinema Centrale, a short walk from the Ariston.

Phone +39 0184 580500, email turismo@comunedisanremo.it. The town's tourism website, Sanremo Live & Love, posts the updates.

Where to stay and the rest of the day

In Festival week, rooms in the centre go quickly. The parts of town, the nearby villages on the railway and what to know before booking are in our guide on where to stay in Sanremo.

Between evenings you can explore the town. Villa Nobel, the Museo Civico at Palazzo Nota, the Russian church and the Casino are in our guide on what to do in Sanremo when it rains. Ideas for sunny days are in Sanremo beyond the Festival.
