What we check in listings

A “verified” badge says little unless you know what was actually checked. Here is the exact list, in both directions.

In short

We check that the CIN is present and not used by another listing, that the photos are not taken from other properties, and that the text contains no requests for payment outside the property's own channels. Every listing is read by a person.

What we do not verify is the identity of whoever publishes, whether they are authorised to run the property, or the CIN against the official database. We do not check prices, availability or on-site amenities.

What we check

CIN present and published

No listing is published without a national identification code, which is required by law for accommodation providers. The CIN is always shown on the property's public page, so you can check it against the official registers yourself.

CIN not already used by another listing

We check that the same CIN does not appear on more than one listing on the portal. If it does, publication is blocked and the case goes to a person.

Photos not taken from another listing

We compare photos with those already on the portal: images identical to another property's block publication.

Contact details present and no requests for payment outside the portal

Every listing must give an email address and a phone number. The text is also checked automatically: bank details or requests for advance payment outside the property's own channels block publication.

Review by a person

Before going online, every listing is read by a member of the editorial team. The date of that check is shown on the property's page. The exception is hosts who already have a track record of approved listings with no rejections: in that case publication can be immediate, but all the automatic checks above remain active.

What we do NOT check

This part matters as much as the one above. If any of these things is decisive for you, check it directly with the property before booking or paying.

We do not verify the CIN against the official database

We check that the code is present and not duplicated on the portal, not that it matches a real entry in the national register. You can check that yourself: the code is published in full precisely for this reason.

We do not verify the identity of whoever publishes

We neither ask for nor check identity documents. All we know is that the email address used to register was confirmed via a link: that confirms the address, not the person's identity.

We do not verify that whoever publishes is authorised to run the property

We do not check title deeds, management contracts or mandates. A published listing is not our attestation that the person may lawfully rent out that property.

We do not verify that the contact details actually respond

We check that an email address and phone number are given, not that they are active or that anyone answers.

We do not check prices, availability or on-site amenities

Prices and availability are not synchronised, and the amenities listed are declared by the host. We do not visit properties: what the listing says is the responsibility of whoever publishes it.

We do not publish average response times

We do not show them because we have no reliable way to measure them: enquiries start on the portal but replies happen by email or phone, outside our systems. We prefer not to publish a figure we cannot verify.

Found something wrong?

If a listing contains incorrect information, photos that do not match, a suspicious CIN or an unusual payment request, tell us: every property page has a “Report a problem with this listing” button. Each report opens a case that is examined by a person.

We do not require an account to send a report, and we do not publish the reports we receive.
