Trail 508 is the historic mule track that climbs from Vernazza to the sanctuary of Nostra Signora di Reggio and continues to Foce Drignana: 3.5 kilometres and almost 480 metres of ascent, two and a quarter hours uphill according to the National Park.

It starts in the village, near the station, on the Pastenello stairway. After a short stretch on the cemetery road it follows the boundary wall and joins the old paved path.

This is the route of the Way of the Cross procession: along the way you see the Stations carved in marble bas-relief, set in shrines or built into the dry-stone walls of the vineyards. Through the olive groves you reach the oratory of San Bernardo. From there the climb eases off up to the sanctuary of Reggio, recorded since 1284, where there is a fountain.
