The Polveriera is the dirt road linking the Manie plateau with the Magnone area: number 12 on the Finale Outdoor Region map, easy-to-intermediate cross-country. The name comes from an old weapons depot in use during the Second World War.
It runs from the Andrassa meadows to Bric dei Monti and ends with one of the finest views in the area, over the Gulf of Spotorno and the island of Bergeggi.
It is used mostly as a climb: the surface is loose and some sections are noticeably steep. Before you set off, check on the Finale Outdoor Region website that it is open: trails close for maintenance, races or bad weather.
