Monte Sant'Elena is where the trail networks of Spotorno and Bergeggi meet: the Monte Sant'Elena–Decolli route is number 295 on the Finale Outdoor Region map, intermediate all-mountain, rideable both ways.

The little fort still stands on the summit, once a strategic military post above the sea. From there the view sweeps over eastern Liguria, from Capo Noli to La Spezia, and on the clearest days as far as Corsica.

The Finale Outdoor Region describes it as a route for all levels, from cross-country to all-mountain. Before you set off, check on the Finale Outdoor Region website that it is open: trails close for maintenance, races or bad weather.
