SoggiornaOn 3 and 4 October 2026 Sanremo hosts the Challenge Sanremo, an international triathlon organised by Riviera Triathlon '92, with hundreds of athletes from five continents. The race headquarters is Portosole, where the swim takes place. In the middle distance the bike leg covers 80 km with nearly 1500 metres of climbing: from the coastal cycle path it passes Riva Ligure, Terzorio, Pompeiana, Castellaro, Taggia and the Argentina Valley, then Bajardo, Ceriana and Poggio di Sanremo, returning down the famous Milano-Sanremo descent to the transition area at Piazzale Carlo Dapporto. The run is 2 flat laps of 10,5 km between Sanremo and Ospedaletti. There is also a sprint distance, with 0,75 km of swimming and 20 km of cycling.
