Cervo in Blu d'Inchiostro is the literary festival curated by Francesca Rotta Gentile, which every year brings to this village on Liguria's western riviera a series of encounters on ideas, art and literature. The 2026 edition, the fourteenth, is themed "Al femminile. Le parole delle donne" — women's words: a programme of meetings with women writers, thinkers and journalists, built as an interdisciplinary path across the twentieth century and the present, looking at the feminine as a place of memory, identity and civic responsibility. The festival is held under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of Culture, the Liguria Region, the Regional Schools Office for Liguria and the Province of Imperia, among others. Events are spread across the whole year: check the festival's own site for the up-to-date calendar of dates and guests before planning a trip.

Cervo has no railway station and cars do not enter the village: the two things to know before setting off. The motorway exit, the train to Diano, parking and the climb.
