The Cinque Terre Card is the ticket of the Cinque Terre National Park. It does two things: it lets you walk the paid sections of the Sentiero Azzurro and the Via dell'Amore and, in the Train version, travel without limits on regional trains between Levanto and La Spezia. In 2026 there are two versions, because the old Card Plus has been abolished and the Via dell'Amore is now part of the Train Card.
The two cards at a glance
| Train Card | Trekking Card | |
|---|---|---|
| Regional trains Levanto – Cinque Terre – La Spezia, 2nd class | yes, unlimited | no |
| Sentiero Azzurro between Monterosso, Vernazza and Corniglia | yes | yes |
| Via dell'Amore (with booking) | yes | yes |
| Buses within the villages | yes | yes |
| 1 day, adults | 22 to 35 euros | 10 euros (15 on peak days) |
Both are valid until midnight of the last day: the one-day card until midnight of the date shown, the two-day card until midnight of the following day.
What it includes
Besides trails and trains, both cards include:
- local buses within the Cinque Terre villages;
- the guided walks of the Cinque Terre Walking Park, from May to October, according to the programme;
- free entry to CAMeC, La Spezia's modern art museum, and to the FAI's Podere Case Lovara, on the trail between Levanto and Monterosso;
- the toilets in Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza and Monterosso stations, which cost 1 euro without a card;
- wi-fi at the Park's hotspots and a discount at La Spezia's Civic Museums.

|---|---|---|---|
| 1 day adults (12-69) | €22.00 | €29.50 | €35.00 |

From 2 November to 31 December 2026 the winter price list applies, the same every day: 17.30 euros for one day, 29 euros for two days and 34 euros for three (adults); 11 euros for children, 13.70 euros for over-70s and 43.70 euros for families, always for one day.
The October 2026 bands
According to the Trenitalia calendar, there are no band C days in October. The one-day Train Card is in band B (29.50 euros) from Saturday 3 to Sunday 11 October and from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November. All other days in October are in band A (22 euros).
Trekking Card prices 2026
The Trekking Card does not include the train. It has a standard fare and a higher one on peak days.
| Trekking Card | Standard | Peak days |
|---|---|---|
| 1 day adults | €10.00 | €15.00 |
| 2 days adults | €17.00 | €26.70 |
| 3 days adults | €23.50 | €37.50 |

In 2026 the peak days are the spring long weekends and weekends, from Easter to mid-June, and the September weekends from the 12th to the 27th. From October the standard fare always applies.
Who doesn't pay
Children under 4 and residents of Riomaggiore, Vernazza and Monterosso al Mare don't pay. Guests of accommodation that belongs to the Park's CETS quality label can buy the cards at a reduced price: ask your host.
Where to buy it
- Online at card.parconazionale5terre.it or with the Park's app.
- At the Park Infopoints in the stations from La Spezia to Levanto.
- At Trenitalia and Park ticket machines, and on the Trenitalia website.
Buying it online before you go saves queuing at the station on the busiest days.
When it pays off
Without a card, from 14 March to 1 November anyone not resident in Liguria pays 5 euros for each single journey between two Cinque Terre stations in band A, 8 euros in band B and 10 euros in band C. The single-ticket calendar does not quite match the card's: in October a single journey costs 8 euros on 3, 4, 5, 10 and 11 October and from 30 October to 1 November, and 5 euros on the other days.
A few sums, on a band A day:
- Train only, no paid trails: the 22-euro Train Card pays off from the fifth journey. With three or four journeys, single tickets cost less.
- Train and Sentiero Azzurro: three journeys cost 15 euros, plus 10 euros for the Trekking Card makes 25 euros. The 22-euro Train Card costs less and is more convenient.
- Trails only, arriving on foot or by boat: the Trekking Card is enough.
In band B the gap grows: three 8-euro journeys plus the Trekking Card make 34 euros, against 29.50 euros for the Train Card.
Trails and Via dell'Amore: what you really need
The card is needed for the paid sections of the Sentiero Azzurro, between Monterosso, Vernazza and Corniglia, and for the Via dell'Amore between Riomaggiore and Manarola. The Park's other trails are free, but always check them before setting off, because landslides and works can close them for months.
The Via dell'Amore is included in both cards, but you also need to book a time slot: entries are every quarter of an hour, for at most 100 people. You enter at Riomaggiore, on the left as you leave the station, and exit at Manarola, one way only, in about half an hour. You can book when you buy the card or later, with the voucher code printed on the ticket. Until 24 October 2026 it is open from 9 am to 9 pm (last entry 8.30 pm); from 26 October from 9 am to 6 pm (last entry 5.30 pm).
