Ruote di Pietra is an enduro trail in the Montegrosso area above Pietra Ligure: number 378 on the Finale Outdoor Region map, intermediate to difficult, mixing scenic stretches with fun lines among cork oaks.

You can reach it from Tovo San Giacomo, or from higher up near the gas pipeline, which looks out over the whole of Pietra Ligure. Without an e-bike, follow the signs for the Sugheri trail to avoid the toughest access climb.

It starts with turns and straights on rock among low vegetation, then enters a wood of very old cork oaks, where the ground changes and grips differently. Wide turns carry you down towards Pietra Ligure, near the Maremola stream. Before you set off, check on the Finale Outdoor Region website that it is open: trails close for maintenance, races or bad weather.
