The Neanderthal is a Feglino classic: number 397 on the Finale Outdoor Region map, a difficult enduro trail. It is one of the first trails built in this area and has been used several times as an Enduro World Series special stage.

After a flowing start and a short climb, the technical, rocky part begins, with narrow lines that demand you keep up speed and rhythm.

The finale is five steep switchbacks; after a traverse, the trail comes out on the Strada della Cava. Before you set off, check on the Finale Outdoor Region website that it is open: trails close for maintenance, races or bad weather.
