The Cucco is the backbone of the San Bernardino plateau: a two-way all-mountain trail, number 53 on the Finale Outdoor Region map, rated intermediate, linking the plateau with the village of Orco.

Ridden from top to bottom, it starts as an almost level natural track with fun natural steps. Then the woods open up and the trail runs along rock walls, on red earth.

It passes the Cucco Base Camp and ends on a tarmac road. Since it is two-way, expect to meet riders coming up. Before you set off, check on the Finale Outdoor Region website that it is open: trails close for maintenance, races or bad weather.
