The Ciappi are one of the classic hiking trails of the San Bernardino plateau and, for the Finale Outdoor Region, "the first tour of Finale": number 52 on the official map, intermediate all-mountain.
They have great historical value: here you can see some of the most visible rock engravings in the area, prehistoric and medieval, as well as the channels and basins cut into the rock to collect rainwater.
The compact ground and porous rock give excellent grip in both dry and wet conditions; the many obstacles and natural steps are a good challenge for any rider. It is a hiking trail too: slow down and give way. Before you set off, check on the Finale Outdoor Region website that it is open: trails close for maintenance, races or bad weather.
