Cà du Puncin is a short all-mountain link between Magnone and the Ponti Romani: number 3 on the Finale Outdoor Region map, rated intermediate. It crosses two of the five medieval bridges still standing in the Val Ponci, along the Via Julia Augusta.
After an opening stretch of loose stones and a fair gradient, it enters a series of canyons, flowing sections and stone steps, in a dense and atmospheric wood.
The name comes from its most distinctive spot: the Cà du Puncin, next to the Ponte dell'Acqua, which hides a spring inside it. Before you set off, check on the Finale Outdoor Region website that it is open: trails close for maintenance, races or bad weather.
