The Black Mamba is the hardest trail in the Mallare area, in the Val Bormida: number 447 on the Finale Outdoor Region map, a difficult, technical and engaging enduro trail.

You join it halfway down the Trail del Boccion, and it descends for about 3 kilometres to La Ferriera, a hamlet 3 kilometres from the village centre.

It mixes off-camber sections, rock fields and roots: it is perhaps the only trail in the area that is not really for everyone. Before you set off, check on the Finale Outdoor Region website that it is open: trails close for maintenance, races or bad weather.
